Location:
Casa Tre Sorelle is situated on the lower western slopes of Monte Inici approximately 40 minutes drive from Palermo airport and 10 minutes from the picturesque nearby town of Castellammare - a pretty fishhing port with plenty of shops and amenities as well as harbour front restaurants and cafes from where you can watch the fishermen at work. There are smaller shops for bread and groceries less than five minutes drive away
The local picturesque village of Scopello is only 10 mintes drive and has a beautiful Baglio, with cafes restaurants and shops within its shaded peaceful traffic free courtyard.
The beautiful Lo Zingaro nature reserve the first such reserve on the Island and one of the most beautiful in Europe, is 15 minutes drive away and offers wonderful walking and beautiful unspoilt secluded coves for swimming and snorkelling in the sparkling clear waters of the Mediterranean sea. Beautiful coves can also be found at nearby Guidaloca and a large sandy beach at nearby Castellamarre as well as the picture postcard Tonnara di Scopello.
The area is a good base from which to visit the beautiful greek temples of Segesta and Selinunte as well as the medieval hilltop town of Erice with its fantastic panoramic views over the surrounding area.
Only slightly farther afield is the town of Trapani with its historic centre, harbour and passenger ferry connections to the Egadi Islands which make a lovely day trip for swimming and cycling (local bike hire available).
Palermo is also easily accessible either by car or by frequent rail connection fro Castellammare.
